Competition Rules
Targeted Participants
- 【Kindergarten Group】 K3
Students advancing to Primary One； - 【Primary Group】 P1 to P6
Specifically designed for students preparing for the Territory‑wide System Assessment (TSA)
- 【Secondary Group】S1 to S5
Tailored for students preparing for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) or International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations.
Awards and Prizes
Each competition category includes:
【Student Awards】
Based on individual scores, participants will receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals and certificates.
The highest scorer in each category will be awarded Champion, First Runner‑up, and Second Runner‑up trophies.
【Institution Awards】
- Selected by the HKITDC Professional Adjudication Committee, outstanding institutions will receive the “Elite School” Honorary Title and the “Outstanding School Award”
- Outstanding mentors will be recognized as “Elite Teachet” and receive the “Outstanding Teacher Award”
Competition Qualification
Participants who join three subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics) — excluding Olympiad and Abacus — will automatically enter the Grand Top Champion Challenge. Those achieving Champion results in all three subjects will be awarded the Grand Top Champion Trophy.
Terms and Conditions
Competitions may be entered individually; details are listed in each subject’s guidelines.
No mock papers will be provided; content follows the Education Bureau’s curriculum framework.
No paper review service is available.
The organizer, Hong Kong Innovation Technology Development Centre, reserves the right to amend or interpret the competition rules without prior notice.
All decisions are final and not subject to dispute.

Based on designated score levels: Gold (101–120), Silver (81–100), Bronze (61–80) Awardees will receive medals and certificates
Highest scorer in each category will receive: Champion, First Runner‑up, Second Runner‑up Awardees will receive honorary pennants
【Institution Awards】
Selected by the HKITDC Professional Adjudication Committee: Top Scorer Academy Honorary Title + Outstanding Education Award
Outstanding mentors selected by the committee will receive: Top Scorer Mentor Honorary Title + Outstanding Mentor Award
Competition Format
- All groups will complete a written examination (approx. 60 minutes; exact duration varies by grade and will follow the admission ticket). Papers include multiple‑choice questions and short/long response questions, total score 120 points.
Notes on Competition
Participants must bring their own stationery.
Secondary (S1 or above) papers include classical Chinese passages.
The organizer, Hong Kong Innovation Technology Development Centre, reserves the right to amend or interpret the rules without prior notice.
All decisions are final and not subject to dispute.
