Competition Groups

Primary Division: P1–P6
Secondary Division: S1–S6
Open Division: Ages 18 and above, including tertiary students and designers
Corporate Division: Companies / Organisations / Associations

Application Fee

【Primary & Secondary Divisions: HKD 100 per artwork
Open Division: HKD 350 per artwork

Competition Topics

Free creation, with the option to incorporate modern elements.

Awards and Prizes

【Individual Awards】

  • Participants achieving the required score will receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze Awards, along with a Qipao Panda Doll.
    Each division’s Champion, 1st Runner‑up, 2nd Runner‑up, and Merit Award recipients will receive certificates and trophies.

【Institution Awards】

  • Selected by the Hong Kong Innovation Technology Development Professional Jury: Studios or schools recommending 20 or more students will be eligible for the Innovation Tech Art Academy Award if their students win. Winning students’ instructors will receive the Innovation Tech Art Instructor Award and a Certificate of Appreciation.

    All submitted artworks will be showcased in the HKITDC Metaverse Gallery. Participants who produce a physical qipao may join the March 9 Physical Qipao Showcase.

Rules of Competition

Submit a qipao design (digital or hand‑drawn) with a concept description of up to 200 words.
Submission method: designated staff will collect student entries submitted through schools. Entry fees are non‑refundable under all circumstances.
The organiser, the Hong Kong Innovation Technology Development Centre, reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice and retains final decision‑making authority.
